St Christopher’s- The London Refuge

The London Refuge for children and young people is a safe haven for hundreds of children and young people every year who have run away from home or local authority care. 

The Refuge saved 241 children from life on the streets last year.

It is the only service of it’s kind in England.

 

The Refuge responds

immediately to young runaways, offering a safe and confidential placement, for up to 14 days.

The Refuge works in partnership with families, social services departments and other agencies to ensure that the young person is able to move on to a safe and secure environment.
